Fried Cucumbers

Fried Cucumbers

Fresh Cucumbers
Cornmeal
Flour
Salt
Pepper

Turn on your deep fryer. Peel and slice the cucumbers and place in a bowl of water. Judge the amount of Cornmeal and Flour by the amount of Cucumbers you have. I use 1/3 the amount of Flour to 2/3 Cornmeal. Add salt and pepper to taste  to the cornmeal and flour mixture. I mix this up in a ziplock storage bag. Your deep fryer should be ready so take the cucumbers out of the water and put in the bag or cornmeal mixture close and shake. now place the cucumbers in the deep fryer and cook until golden.  These are good by themself or dipped in Ranch Dressing.

This is the Rag Quilt that Shelby and I made. It was the first rag quilt I have ever made. The most special thing about this quilt is that Shelby and I worked on it together. Shelby picked out which heart would go on which square and where each square should go. Shelby even help guide the fabric on the sewing machine. This is an easy little lap quilt to make for a first timer. Shelby is only 5 years old and she just loved it.
